Area-Info.net is the pipeline for lots of good stuff! It is through them that I receive the Genealogy Newsline, a free genealogy newsletter that comes straight to my e-mail inbox. The newsletter is a product of Family Roots Publishing and is written by Leland K. Meitzler. One article is massive good news: FamilySearch has updated and posted the 1865 Illinois State Census, (Labor Day 2011); other record collections that were completed and posted on Labor Day have been integrated into the GenealogyBlog Online Database Links Files. What would we do without folks like Leland?!! We'd be wandering around in the dark, I'm afraid.
